COME, LISTEN, READ, SHARE!
In an effort to have a little fun in our season planning (also known as "play selection") and to get a little more of a glimpse into the heart of the plays, we have incorporated play reading dates throughout the year. These are very fun and informal. We sit around, read/sing/listen, snack, and talk about what we've just read together. Time involved is however long it takes to read through the entire play and about 15 minutes of discussion. The dates and play selections for 2010 are (3rd Saturday @ 2pm): June 19 - Leading Ladies by Ken Ludwig
July 17- Lock Stock and Lipstick
August 21-It's A Wonderful Life Stage Adaptation by John Hendrick September 18- The Rainmaker by N. Richard Nash
October 16- Frankenstein by Victor Gialanella, Adapted from the Novel by Mary Shelley
November TBA- You Can't Take It With You by Moss Heart and George S. Kaufman December TBA
- If you have any interest in participating, please come by the theatre on the specified Saturday and have some fun.
- Scripts will be provided for folks--only enough for the number of characters in the script (and the narrator for the stage directions).
- If you come late or have no desire to read aloud, you are more than welcome to come listen and share (or not) your thoughts afterwards.
